That’s a really strong word to describe how I feel looking some of my students. And they really can understand what’s going on when they have me helping them get better.
I wanna all they know the moment in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu they put a patch in they’re kimono they just don’t represent my way of teaching; speak or act. They represent a legacy behind them and that’s what make the family strong and get connected.
One of the main things I learned in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was be proud of a team. That’s why I never left Nova Geração because I truly believe that’s my family and my brand.! You some people has favorite brand.. Victoria Secret; Donna Karan; Versace… But wait a minute: why you only mention “girls” or “women’s” brand ?
I explain.
Be a women is be pleased. You wanna pleased your half right ? What the first thing you decide to give ? A purse, a dress or a underwear… ( at least that’s the way I like it !!!! ).
So, thinking about that, I decide female brands because since you wanna please that person that might be your date.. Your girlfriend… Or your fiancé and even the women of your life !!! ( Julie is mine!! I love bb!!! ) if you think that way that means you wanna show fidelity; loyalty; respect.! That’s what a instructor looking in every single student.
Specially if he is Brazilian and even more if he is a Carioca, like me.! And if you have one he know what exactly I’m talking about it!!!!
A bunch of instructors come up to me, not in tournaments, off them to talk and have a personal conversation about some students they left they’re gym. And I will share with you what I tell them : Mae the student come back and don’t be a broken heart. You always can put the pieces together and make a stronger heart.
Let them decide what is best for them. And eventually those that regret they will come back… For those that move: indicate them a good school with, at least, the same lineage of yours. Trust me, he will be happy for you being helping him.
